Danielle Harris is well-known among horror fans. She first became a genre icon via her role as Jamie Lloyd in Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers and Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers. She also starred as Annie in Rob Zombie's Halloween movies and appeared in numerous other horror films, including as final girl Marybeth Dunston in the slasher movies Hatchet II and Hatchet III.

Now, Harris will be the subject of a feature-length documentary from Deranged Minds Entertainment. Directed by Destinie Orndoff and Tristian Clay, the documentary will cover Harris' life and career and was shot over the last three years. Additionally, it will be a mix of archival footage, as well as private home footage and interviews with Harris, her friends, family, and various collaborators.

The description for the Danielle Harris documentary reads, “Before she was old enough to drive, Danielle Harris had outrun Michael Myers twice and held her own opposite Bruce Willis and Roseanne Barr. Off screen, she survived far worse: her father’s death in an unsolved car accident, the suicides of a famous partner and a close friend, a stalker who tracked her for two decades and a pregnancy complication that stopped her heart.”

In a press statement, director and producer Destinie Orndoff said, "People think they know Danielle because they grew up watching her," adding, "They've seen the performances. They've never seen what it cost her, and Danielle didn't hold anything back."

Clay said, "In the three years of filming, I had the honor of getting to know the woman off the screen...I can’t wait for audiences to see this side of her.”

The Danielle Harris documentary will address some of the actress' personal challenges amid her onscreen success

Of course, the documentary will cover Harris' well-known roles within the horror genre and her relationship with fans, including the fact she's often a mainstay on the convention circuit, but it'll also address some of Harris' personal challenges. Despite her success as a child actress onward, she faced many personal challenges, including her father's death in an unsolved car accident, suicides of a former partner and close friend, a stalker who plagued her for two decades, and a pregnancy complication that stopped her heart. This documentary will allow Harris to tell her story, and the directors have stated that not even her friends and collaborators were aware of all the details.

Currently, the documentary is in post-production. A festival run is planned for 2027. Check out the teaser trailer below
