Exhumed Films and the Mahoning Drive-In announce Halloween-a-Thon IV with Tom Atkins in attendance

Spooky season is truly just around the corner, and as we look forward to the colorful leaves, cooler temperatures, and pumpkin spiced-everything, Exhumed Films and the Mahoning Drive-In just made a killer announcement.
Halloween-a-Thon IV will take place Oct. 9 and 10 at the Mahoning Drive-In in Leighton, Pennsylvania, and this year's event has a major surprise guest. Tom Atkins will be in attendance both nights to sign autographs, and the marathon will feature several of his movies.

John Carpenter's Halloween
Of course, it wouldn't be a Halloween-a-Thon without John Carpenter's 1978 masterpiece. Of course, I'm talking about the original Halloween, the movie that kicked off the franchise. The film introduced the world to Michael Myers, final girl Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis), and Dr. Loomis (Donald Pleasence). It's the perfect way to kick off the marathon.
Halloween II
Halloween II begins right after Halloween ends, with Laurie Strode in the hospital, and Michael Myers still slashing his way through victim after victim, with Dr. Loomis hot on his trail. Though Carpenter didn't direct this movie, and that duty went to Rick Rosenthal, he did write the script.
Night of the Creeps
Night of the Creeps is a fun 1980s B movie, and the first of the marathon that stars Atkins. In this movie, he plays super sarcastic detective Ray Cameron. The movie centers around an alien experiment that crashed to Earth in 1959 and infected a local college student. Decades later, in 1986, two college students accidently thaw the infected body, unleashing slug-like parasites that turn their fellow college students into zombies.

Halloween III: Season of the Witch
Saturday kicks off with another Atkins heavy-hitter, Halloween III: Season of the Witch. This is the movie that doesn't feature Michael Myers. Instead, it centers on an evil corporation, Silver Shamrock, and their diabolical plan to kill children using Halloween masks. Atkins plays the lead role, Dr. Dan Challis, and it's up to him to stop the corporation before it's too late. This movie also has one of the catchiest jingles of all time. Yes, I'm talking about the Silver Shamrock tune.
Maniac Cop
Maniac Cop is another 80s B movie in which Atkins plays a detective, in this case Detective Frank McCrae. The movie focuses on a uniformed serial killer who roams the streets of New York City, murdering innocent residents. Officer Jack Forrest (Bruce Campbell) is framed for the murders, but alongside the detective, they uncover a sinister conspiracy.
Rob Zombie's Halloween
Finally, Halloween-a-Thon IV concludes with Rob Zombie's 2007 Halloween remake. In this version, Scout Taylor Compton plays Laurie Strode, while Tyler Mane plays the adult version of Michael, and Daeg Faerch plays the kid version. Zombie gives Michael motive for his killing spree, including a broken home and constant bullying at school.
