San Francisco’s Unnamed Footage Festival (UFF) is back for its ninth year, and they have announced the first wave of films they will be presenting.
UFF places its focus on found footage style movies, and most films in the genre are horror-related. Past UFF films that have received theatrical releases include Dream Eater, Dooba Dooba, and Hunting Matthew Nichols. As of the 2026 festival, the lineup has been expanded to four full days.
Remember that this list is only the first wave, so more information will be released with the upcoming second wave. Here’s a look at what UFF will be presenting for their 2026 festival.
Primal Darkness (World Premiere) – A hunting influencer is planning to increase his number of followers by tracking a mountain lion in Nevada. The mountain lion has been interfering with local livestock, but the discovery of items belonging to some missing hikers makes the trip suddenly more dangerous.
Frogman Returns – In his sequel to Frogman, Anthony Cousins (who also brought us Shudder’s Scare Package) brings us more concerning the legend of the Loveland Frogman. The story picks up immediately where the first film ended, and the press release promises us that “this sequel cranks everything up to an eleven.”

We Put the World to Sleep – “Adrian and Duru get lost in the characters they play in an apocalyptic film and embark on a secret mission to end the world for real. What follows goes beyond their wildest imagination.” Director Adrian Tofei was also behind the 2015 cult fave Be My Cat: A Film for Anne.
Infirmary – Edward is a former marine who takes on a night security guard gig at an old abandoned hospital that’s scheduled to be demolished. Fans of horror films know where this story is headed, as Edward suspects there is prowler in the building.
Don’t Look in the Dark – A couple camping in Pinelands National Reserve are started when their cellphones won’t stop recording. Though they at first suspect some sort of malfunction, it soon becomes evident that something is in the woods. The press release describes Don’t Look in the Dark as “The Blair Witch Project for a post-Skinamarink audience.”
Heritage – Though Marie and Daniel have not been to Corsica since leaving 15 years earlier, they make a trip back to visit their grandfather. When they decide to use the family camcorder to record the reunion, they get more than they bargained for.
The Found Footage Horror and in-World-Camera Film Festival will take place from March 24 – 29.
