Anghkooey!

That is the word that’s been on the minds of fans of the MGM + original series From since November 2024 when its third season concluded.

After a long wait, but less than a wait for other series, we have the trailer for the highly anticipated Season 4. The series focuses on the trapped residents of an inescapable supernatural town (labeled “Fromville” by fans), led primarily by Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau), a retired military intelligence officer whom the town accepts as their sheriff.

Judging from the questions and revelation from Season 3, and the trailer below, we should expect some explosive ramifications of the townspeople’s newfound knowledge of their situation and the tension brewing steadily amongst themselves.

This article does contain spoilers for From.

Season 3 ended with Tabitha Matthews (Catalina Sandino Moreno) and Jade Herrera (David Alpay) realizing they are reincarnates of their past lives as Miranda and Christopher, who have returned to Fromville at numerous times in history as different people in failed attempts to rescue the mysterious children trapped there. These children don’t appear alongside the 1950s-fashioned humanoid monsters that roam the night. We also saw Fatima (Pegah Ghafoori) give birth to a revived version of Smiley, an iconic night roamer who was killed in Season 2. This rebirth clarifies that the nightly creatures have some form of immortality.

Before we journey back to town and see how these new revelations will affect our beloved characters, let’s take stock of everything we know about Season 4 of From

The new season will premiere April 19, 2026

We won’t have to wait long to return to Fromville, as the first episode of Season 4 will be available to stream in just under a month’s time on MGM+.

In addition to streaming on its home turf, it will also be available to watch on the MGM+ app on Apple TV and Prime Video.

Season 4 will consist of ten episodes

The new season will stick to its tradition of weekly episode releases, giving it a window of ten weeks.

The new episodes releasing every Sunday gives us the opportunity to elongate our enjoyment of the show, which notoriously takes a few years between seasons to release. Streaming platforms seem to be adopting schedules similar to television. Even Netflix has experimented slightly with that, releasing the final season of Stranger Things in increments that stretched the experience out from November 26 to December 31, 2025.

At least two new people will be unwittingly moving to Fromville

From both the trailer and recent casting announcements, we know that Julia Doyle (Hell of a Summer) will be joining the cast as Sophia, who is described as a “sheltered and vulnerable” pastor’s daughter.

From the trailer, we see Sophia and an unnamed clergyman (presumably her father) on the road investigating the dreaded downed tree in front of their car, the first indicator that they’ve unfortunately stumbled into Fromville.

We also see Sophia praying with an unknown man (we only see his backside) to watch over them in a place where “evil roams.”

Sophia, and possibly her father, may end up filling the clerical role that Father Khatri (Shaun Majumder) had in town, acting as the town’s only clergy and often the voice of reason. He was killed in season one, but has been appearing to Boyd in visions, often still acting as a voice of reason to him.

We will be seeing new monsters

The Season 3 finale featured the arrival of The Man in the Yellow Suit (Douglas E. Hughes), a menacing elderly figure who kills Jim Matthews (Eion Bailey) after his wife Tabitha uncovers the truth about her and Jade’s past lives. He also appeared in paintings done by Miranda, her past self.

The trailer features scenes of Miranda’s son Victor (Scott McCord) and his newly reunited father Henry (Robert Joy) finding a drawing of The Man in the Yellow Suit, as well as what looks to be the suit itself. He also spoke to Jim in the season one finale, when he advised him against Tabitha digging a hole in their basement.

Given his arrival at the end of the last season, and his clear orchestration of most, if not all of the happenings in Fromville, his presence in the new season should raise the stakes.

He will be joined by what appears to be a giant, monstrous ragdoll that, in one shot from the trailer, crashes through the wall of a cabin and terrorizes the townspeople inside: Boyd, Ellis (Corteon Moore), Donna (Elizabeth Saunders), and Tabitha among them.

The creature looks like something that would come from a child’s drawing (or one of Victor’s drawings) and could possibly be connected to the mysterious children.

Jim will reappear in some fashion

Season 3 ended with the shocking death of Jim at the hands of The Man in the Yellow Suit. While reflecting over Tabitha’s revelation at his overturned RV, a blood-soaked, short-haired version of his daughter Julie (Hannah Cheramy) arrives stating she must “change the story.” At that point, the yellow-clad menace arrives, remaking that knowledge comes with a cost, and ripping Jim’s throat out in front of Julie after declaring his wife shouldn’t have dug that hole in their basement, confirming his was the voice talking to Jim on the radio in Season One.

The trailer features a quick glimpse of Ethan (Simon Webster) running up to Jim and embracing his father in a hug. Jim smiles in what could be a mixed expression of gratitude and sympathy.

It’s unlikely that Jim will be returning as a living character. Ethan could very well be envisioning his father, much like Boyd does with Father Khatri. However, unlike Khatri, Ethan appears to be making physical contact with him. This may point to a possible dream or flashback sequence, or even the possibility of The Man in the Yellow Suit mimicking Jim in an attempt to draw Ethan in.

As is tradition with From, we’re going into the new season knowing very little and asking very much. While at this point, we know more about Fromville and the connections it shares with characters like Victor, Tabitha and Jade, we still don’t know the true origins of the town, or of the nocturnal creatures confining its residents to their homes. Keeping further with the new tradition, we can expect any answers to open up even more questions about the supernatural town.

Ahead of the premiere, official social media accounts for the series have recommended episodes that viewers should rewatch.
