The Overlook Film Festival has announced its second and final wave of programming. The fest, which takes place from April 9-12 in New Orleans, will screen 62 films in total, including 36 features and 26 shorts from 10 different countries. Additionally, the fest is adding a new category titled Side Shows. These are basically horror-adjacent movies that still fit within a genre festival.

The first wave announcement included some real bangers, such as writer/director Damien Mc Carthy's third feature Hokum and Curry Barker's Obsession, the opening night film. Here's everything announced in the second wave of programming, including a panel hosted by The Boulet Brothers.

Panel Presentations

In addition to dozens of films, the Overlook will host various panel presentations. The panels include The Boulet Brothers' House of Horror Hosts: Past, Present, and Undead. This promises to be a lively, unfiltered conversation about the history of the horror host, from Vampira to Elvira to the Crypt Keeper.

The other panel announced is Alt-Horror Experiences, which promises to venture beyond the screen into both new and old art forms that challenge the way we experience art. The panel intends to bring together horror fans in what's likely to be an immersive experience, featuring radio plays, music, theater, gaming, haunted houses, and more.
