For those looking to catch up on the Scream franchise before Scream 7 releases in theaters on February 27, Pluto TV has some great news. Scream 1-6 was just added to the free streaming service and will remain on the platform until at least the end of the month. Slasher fans will also be happy to know that they added nearly the entire Friday the 13th franchise and several other horror movies, including Valentine's Day must-watches.
Other than the Scream movies, here's what else Pluto TV just added.
Friday the 13th and its many sequels
Ghostface isn't the only slasher icon slicing and dicing victims. Jason Voorhees has also joined the party. The streaming platform added the original Friday the 13th and several of its sequels. Here is a list of the Friday the 13th movies available.
Friday the 13th (1980)
Friday the 13th – Part II
Friday the 13th – Part III
Friday the 13th Part IV: The Final Chapter
Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning
Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives
Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood
Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan
A very bloody Valentine's Day
If you're looking to host a scary movie streaming marathon with a date, Scream and Friday the 13th aren't the only options. Pluto TV included a few Valentine's Day classics, such as Bloody Valentine (1981), and the highly underrated The Loved Ones. In fact, if your date is into horror, you just may impress him or her with The Loved Ones, since it's a deeper cut than the slasher franchises. The 2009 Australian film, written and directed by Sean Byrne (Dangerous Animals), stars Xavier Samuel, Robin McLeavy, Victoria Thaine, and Jessica McNamee. The film follows a teenage boy (Samuel) who is tortured by a classmate (McLeavy) after rejecting her invitation to a school dance. It's quite a twisted film. Meanwhile, My Bloody Valetine features the iconic miner and is a prefect bloody holiday watch.
Children of the Corn
Pluto TV included a third horror franchise in the mix. The platform added several off the Children of the Corn movies. The initial 1984 film is based on the Stephen King story of the same name and spawned several sequels, though, unfortunately, the streamer doesn't currently have the first film. Here are the Children of the Corn movies that are available.
Children of the Corn II: The Final Sacrifice
Children of the Corn III: Urban Harvest
Children of the Corn IV: The Gathering
Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror
Children of the Corn 666: Isaac’s Return
Children of the Corn: Revelation
Additional Pluto TV scares
Besides Valentine's Day favorites and major slasher franchises, Pluto TV added a few other genre movies to this month's schedule. Some of these include lesser-known Wes Craven films. Here's the remaining list.
