Shudder brings us season’s chillings with their December Season of Screams schedule

Shudder is continuing their Season of Screams with their December schedule, which includes plenty of original content, alongside old favorites. Original series The Creep Tapes’ second season will include a special Christmas episode, as will The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs.
The Boulet Brothers’ are working extra hard this holiday season, with season two of Dragula: Titan and a brand new Christmas special. The Titan season finale will air on December 9.
Here’s what you can watch on Shudder in December:
December 1:
The Haunted Season: The Occupant of the Room – This unique horror anthology was created by Kier-La Janisse (Woodlands Dark and Days Bewitched: A History of Folk Horror). It follows the Christmas ghost story-telling tradition, with a new story releasing each December. The Occupant of the Room is the second installment, and the first one, To Fire You Come At Last was released on Shudder last year. In The Occupant of the Room, a teacher arrives unexpectedly at a hotel in the Alps, and is placed in the room of a missing guest. What follows is a terrifying and sleepless night.
Silent Night, Deadly Night – “An orphan raised by nuns grows up to be a killer toy-store Santa Claus.” The remake of this cult favorite is due to hit theaters on December 12 of this year.
Santa’s Slay – A demonic Santa once lost a bet with an angel, and has spent many years being forced to spread Christmas cheer. But now he has returned to his murderous ways.
A Christmas Tale (2005) – A group of kids discover a woman dressed as Santa in a pit in the woods. When they discover she is actually a criminal who has stolen money, they decide to keep her prisoner and torture her in an effort to convince her to give up the cash.
You Are Not Me – “Aitana returns home for Christmas, the first time after three years, to find that her parents have replaced her with an unknown woman who is being treated like their daughter. She soon discovers the disturbing and bloody truth.”
Creep Box – After the loss of his wife, a scientist is driven by grief to try using some advanced technology in a life after death experiment.
Spooktacular! – This documentary tells the story of New England’s legendary “horror theme park”, and of its founder, David Bertolino. The attraction began life as a haunted hayride, but grew into so much more.
Wolf (TV Series) – A family trapped in their isolated home in the country are terrorized and held hostage by a psychopath. The series consists of 6 episodes, with a new one premiering each Tuesday.
December 5:
Reflection in a Dead Diamond (Shudder Original) – An elderly ex-spy lives in a luxurious hotel on the Cote d’Azur. When the mystery lady who lives next door vanishes, he is “confronted by the demons and darlings of a lurid past in which moviemaking, memories and madness collide.”

December 12:
Influencers (Shudder Original) – In this sequel to 2022’s Influencer, we revisit the murderous CW (Cassandra Naud), now living a relatively quiet life her girlfriend Diane. While on a celebratory anniversary trip, the two meet Charlotte, an influencer who quickly becomes a thorn in CW’s side. When CW loses her shit and her control, and Diane starts to figure some things out.
The Last Drive-In: Joe Bob’s Cold, Cruel Christmas (Shudder Original Special) – Joe Bob’s annual holiday special returns with a double bill of “snowy slashers”, and their traditional charity drive. Guaranteed to chill you to the bone, while also warming your heart with holiday spirit.
December 16:
The Boulet Brothers’ Holiday of Horrors (Shudder Original Special) – Join the Dracmorda and Swanthula Boulet for four original short films. Each short was written and directed by a different genre favorite icon, including the Boulets themselves, David Dastmalchian (Late Night With the Devil), Akeela Cooper (writer of Malignant and M3GAN), and Kate Siegel (The Haunting of Hill House). Shudder’s press release describes the anthology as blending “atmospheric horror, practical gore, and haunting holiday imagery into a new seasonal classic.”
December 19:
Queens of the Dead (Shudder Film Premiere) – This zombie film comes to us from Tina Romero (George A. Romero’s daughter), and features a cast of drag queens and club kids. The eclectic group have to put their drama in the back seat to fight off the undead.

December 26:
The Jester 2 (Shudder Film Premiere) – It’s Halloween night, and Max, an aspiring teen magician ends up in a fight to the death with the evil Jester. This is a sequel to 2023’s The Jester, which is also available to stream on Shudder.
