Shudder welcomes The Boulet Brothers' Dragula back for season 7

The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula is back for season 7, and you can watch the first episode right now on Shudder and AMC+. The new season features 12 new and unique competitors that are described in the news release as “some of the series’ most brilliantly unhinged and cutting-edge underground artists.”
The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula is now a four-time Emmy nominated series, as well as the winner of the Critics Choice Association’s Reality TV Award. It has consistently been one of Shudder’s most-watched series, and this Halloween will be the show’s tenth anniversary.
The first three seasons of the series aired on YouTube, but its popularity increased greatly when it began its Shudder run during its fourth season.
Reflecting on the evolution of Dragula, the Boulets said: “Ten years ago, we opened the gates to our world without a roadmap, a television network, or any idea of how far this strange underground experiment would take us.” For the new season, the Boulets said they wanted to celebrate the dangerous and different qualities of the series, but are also always trying to change things up.
The new cast is comprised on “raw, hungry artists show were completely unprepared for what was waiting for them.” That should greatly add to the show’s reputation for big drama and even bigger contestant meltdowns! Things can get pretty heated on the set; drinks have been thrown (along with hissy fits), and the arguments, rivalries, and backstabbing keep things interesting. The goal for season 7 is to keep everything unpredictable.

The judges for the new season will include Rose McGowan, David Dastmalchian, Doug Hones, Harvey Guillen, Darren Stein, Rachel True, Lloyd Kaufman, Bailey Sarian, Brandon Rogers, James A. Janisse, Chelsea Rebecca, Lauren LaVera, Yvie Oddly, and Howard Berger. Also showing up as judges will be previous Dragula champions Landon Cider, Dahli, and Asia Consent.
The new contestants will participate in a season that pays homage to “VHS horror” of the 1980s and 1990s, during which many iconic films will be referenced. We can expect even more insane elimination challenges that the competitors will have to survive.
Speaking of those contestants, here’s a list of the artists you will be able to watch during
