This March, Warner Brothers is releasing a new action/horror film called They Will Kill You, and a trailer was just released. I am personally really excited about this one, it looks it’s going to be a lot of bloody fun!
They Will Kill You stars Zazie Beetz (Joker: Folie a Deux, Deadpool 2) as a desperate young woman who responds to a posted ad for a housekeeper. The job is at a mysterious high-rise building in New York City called the Virgil, and she soon finds out about the building’s history, which includes stories of many residents disappearing unexpectedly.
For years, people in the area of the building have suspected a Satanic cult is to blame for the disappearances, and “what starts as a gig from hell spirals into a fight for survival against ritualistic horrors and twisted loyalties.”
They Will Kill You also stars Heather Graham (Suitable Flesh, Twin Peaks) and Patricia Arquette (Murdaugh: Death in the Family, The Act), which leaves me saying: “Three strong women in one horror film? Yes, please!” I am especially excited to see Patricia Arquette, who is one of those actors who seems to become every character she portrays.
They Will Kill You is scheduled to release in theatres on March 27, 2026

This trailer kicks ass! It includes a lot of fast-paced action sequences, and a lot of blood is shown. You can watch the trailer below this article, but my first impression is that it puts me in mind of a few other films (in a good way, because each of those films rocked).
With the setting of the huge, old building, and our main character attempting to hide throughout it, it made me immediately think of Ready or Not, which was my favorite horror movie of 2019. Samara Weaving starred as a new bride playing out a real-life and very deadly game of hide and seek in a giant mansion. The sequel is set to release, ironically on the same date as They Will Kill You, March 27.
The level of fun, violent action and bloodshed brought to mind Violent Night, which also has an upcoming sequel, due in theaters in December of this year. And the stylistic lettering and weapons made me remember another Samara Weaving movie, Netflix Original The Babysitter. I loved all three of those movies, so I expect I will likely feel the same about They Will Kill You. Watch the trailer and let me know if you agree!
