Comic Con is back at the San Diego Convention Center to entertain genre fans of all kinds, and horror will be well represented, as usual. The 2026 convention begins on Thursday, July 23, and ends on July 26, and the schedule is jam-packed this year.
The First in Fright panel promises to “break down this year’s fiercest categories” with a panel that includes actor Devon Sawa. Sawa appeared in the original Final Destination film, Heart Eyes, Shudder’s Hell Motel: Murder at Red Mountain, and the Chucky television series among other horror projects.
Sawa’s fellow panelists will be moderator Sean Abley, Fangoria’s Digital Editor Angel Melanson, Michael Varrati (Chainsaw Awards’ writer/director), Fangoria’s Community and Content Manager Kimberly Leszak, and more surprise guests. Fangoria also promises to deliver exclusive announcements, surprises, and sneak peeks regarding this year’s Chainsaw Awards.
Fangoria has been the premiere horror magazine since its first issue in 1979, and nobody has a better feel for the genre, so this panel is not to be missed! The panel is scheduled for 8:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 24 in the upper level, room 23ABC.
AMC will present multiple panels and screenings during Comic Con

The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3 panel will be held in Hall H on Friday, July 24 from 11:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Present will be Jeffrey dean Morgan (Negan), Lauren Cohan (Maggie), Aimee Garcia (Renata), Raul Castillo (Omar), Showrunner/Executive Producer Seth Hoffman, and Executive Producer Scott Gimple. They will talk about the series’ upcoming third season, and give guests a sneak peek from the premiere episode. The moderator will be EW’s Dalton Ross, and attendees will have the chance to see an advance screening of the season premiere that evening at The Loft at Petco Park, 6:30 p.m.
The Vampire Lestat Panel takes place in Hall H on Friday, July 24 from 12:30 p.m. – 1:15 p.m. Assad Zaman (Armand), Eric Bogosian (Daniel Molloy), creator/showrunner Rolin Jones, and executive producers Mark Johnson and Hannah Moscovitch will be the panelists, and the moderator will be Rotten Tomatoes’ Jacqueline Coley. Panelists will discuss the season finale. The press release also promises “highlights from the electrifying music performance The Vampire Lestat: One Night Only Live, featuring original songs from series composer Daniel Hart, and performed by Sam Reid as Lestat.”
YAGA Panel will happen on Saturday, July 25 from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. in the Indigo Ballroom, Hilton Bayfront. The new AMC+ series reimagines the iconic folk story of the Baba Yaga witch in the format of a contemporary mystery thriller. The panel consists of cast members Noah Reid, Clark Backo, and Carrie-Anne Moss, along with showrunner/executive producer Kat Sandler. The Moderator is TV Guide Magazine’s Damian Holbrook, and a sneak preview of the series is included.
The Bold Voice of Contemporary Horror 10th Anniversary Panel will feature representatives from Shudder and AMC+, and will take place in Room 6A on Friday, July 24 from 4:45 – 5:45 p.m. During this panel, exclusive footage from upcoming indie and studio horror media will be presented by panelists Devorah Ann Woll (Shudder’s upcoming The Cycle), Dan Stevens (The Terror: Devil in Silver), and more. The moderator is Overlook Film Festival Co-Founder and Director of Film Programming Michael Lerman.
