Insidious will be back in August with Insidious: Out of the Further. In the sixth film in the horror franchise, Amelia Eve (The Haunting of Bly Manor) is Gemma, a young mother who has returned to the house she grew up in to raise her daughter.
Gemma discovers that she can travel into the Further (which all fans of Insidious are very familiar with), only to discover that a malevolent force has come after her. Unfortunately, she also discovers that the beings who inhabit the Further can follow her into the real world.
Lin Shaye is returning to her iconic role of Elise in the sequel. The trailer and poster art for Insidious: Out of the Further have been released by Sony, and the film will open in theatres on August 21.

The official trailer has been released for AMC series The Vampire Lestat. In the new series, which is part of Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe, Lestat is the lead singer of a successful rock band being “haunted by muses from his rebellious past.
The Vampire Lestat is a continuation of the Interview with the Vampire series, which is also available to stream on AMC+.
Featured in the trailer is Lestat’s (Sam Reid) version of the Billy Idol classic song Dancing With Myself. The series will debut on AMC and AMC+ Sunday, June 7 at 9:00 p.m. ET.
Two newer horror movies are coming to streaming on demand
They Will Kill You released in theatres on March 27 of this year. It didn’t last long in theatres, unfortunately, perhaps because of perceived similarities to Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, which opened a week prior.

If you weren’t able to catch it on the big screen (like me), cheer up – They Will Kill You will be available to watch at home when it released digitally on April 28.
Another film I missed in theatres was Sam Raimi’s Send Help, starring Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien. McAdams is a socially awkward employee, and O’Brien is her bullying boss. The two are in a plane crash, and wind up having to help one another survive on an island.
The film received positive reviews, so I will be happy to watch it when it begins streaming on Hulu May 7.
MGM+ series From has received a lot of critical acclaim during its 4-season run. MGM has announced a fifth and final season for the series. From is set in a US town that is overrun with strange creatures that come from a nearby forest, and the town’s residents are trapped there.
