AMC has announced a premiere date for The Vampire Lestat, which is how they have titled the third season of Interview with the Vampire. In the new season, the Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid) is on a successful tour with his band.

As his popularity amongst fans grows by leaps and bounds, so does his influence with both vampires and humans. This leaves others to “contend with Lestat’s power in the face of the Great Conversion, an unnatural surge in the vampire population.”

Joining Reid in The Vampire Lestat are Jacob Anderson (Louis de Pointe du Lac), Assad Zaman (Armand), Eric Bogosian (Daniel Malloy), Delainey Hayles (Claudia), and Jennifer Ehle. And as an added bonus, AMC Networks and Lakeshore Records has released three singles performed by Reid / Lestat. The first single was Long Face, and now All Fall Down and the opening title sequence songs are joining it. You can find all three songs on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. Additional songs will be released in the near future.

When is The Vampire Lestat’s season premiere?

The new season will premiere on Sunday, June 7 on both AMC and AMC+, with new episodes following weekly thereafter.

Series composer Daniel Hart wrote All Fall Down, describing as both the series theme song, and an early song by Lestat and his band. He describes it as being “heavily influenced” by artists such as David Bowie and T. Rex. Says Hart, “All fall Down marks a time in this vampire band’s life when they were still figuring out exactly what their sound was.”

According to the press release, the Vampire Lestat comments: “All Fall Down is mercifully only 68 seconds long. That’s 54 seconds more Daniel Hart than anyone should suffer. I like the harmonies on the chorus. I did those.”

Season one of Interview with the Vampire told the story of Louis as he gives his life story to Daniel Molloy, a journalist. As a young man, Louis was a brothel owner, and after he was befriended by Lestat, his family disapproved. Louis willingly let Lestat turn him, which began centuries of a mostly dysfunctional relationship.

When Louis coaxes Lestat to turn a young girl named Claudia, the family becomes three, but Louis and Claudia end up leaving Lestat.

Season two continued the story, mainly focusing on Louis and Claudia, as they go to Paris and encounter Armand and the Theatre des Vampires.

You can watch seasons one and two of Interview with the Vampire on AMC+ and Netflix.
