AMC has released the trailer for the upcoming third season of The Walking Dead: Dead City, which stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan. The actors portray two of the most popular characters in The Walking Dead universe, Negan and Maggie.
Season one of the series saw Maggie and Glenn’s son Hershel kidnapped from Hilltop (now known as The Bricks) by a former Savior called the Croat. Maggie turned full on Mama bear, even recruiting Negan (who killed her husband Glenn) to help her find her son, who was taken to Manhattan. This created plenty of tension, since Maggie understandably hated Negan and struggled to trust him.
Unbeknownst to Negan,, however, the truth was that Maggie was planning to trade him for Hershel, something the Croat had told her she would have to do if she wanted her son back. She turned Negan over, and returned to the Bricks.
Season two dealt with the aftermath, as Hershel resented his mother, and the two returned to Manhattan. It turned out that Hershel had been brainwashed by a woman referred to as the Dama, and Negan began to control part of the group that had previously been led by the Croat.

The description for season three is as follows: “Maggie (Cohan) and Negan (Morgan) finally put aside their differences to build the first thriving community in Manhattan since the apocalypse, but when chaos in the city begins to arise, they are forced to question: have they learned from their old wounds or will their dark past spell doom for the entire city?”
When does season three of The Walking Dead: Dead City premiere?
The new season will make its debut on Sunday, July 26 at 9:00 p.m. ET. It will run on both AMC and AMC+.
The Walking Dead began on October 31, 2010 on AMC. It was something that television viewers hadn’t seen before – a graphically gory tale that relied on practical effects and a storyline that emotionally resonated with viewers. We learned very early on that TWD was not afraid to kill off any of its main characters.

The Walking Dead ran for eleven seasons before leaving AMC, and by that point, only a few of the original characters were still alive. Then came the spin-offs – Fear the Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, Tales of the Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, The Walking Dead: Dead City, and The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.
With the recent renewal of TWD: Daryl Dixon and TWD: Dead City, there is no end in sight!
