Over the last week, trailers have dropped for some of the most anticipated genre movies of the next few months. It can be a lot to keep up with. Don't worry, though. The Horror Lounge has you covered. Here are the major horror movie trailers you may have missed and the release dates for each film.
Passenger (Directed by André Øvredal)
Paramount finally dropped the trailer for Passenger, the new film from horror mainstay André Øvredal (The Autopsy of Jane Doe, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark). The trailer has an ominous opening, with a shot of an open road at night and then a statistic stating that 130 million Americans took road trips last year, and 15,400 of them went missing. The movie focuses on a young couple who witnesses a horrific accident, and then they're stalked by a demonic entity.
Passenger releases in theaters on May 22.
Saccharine (Directed by Natalie Erika James)
Saccharine is a body horror film that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January and was quickly acquired by IFC and Shudder. Directed by Natalie Erika James (Relic, Apartment 7A), the movie stars Midori Francis as Hana, a lovelorn medical student. She becomes terrorized by an evil force after taking part in an obscure weight loss craze that involves eating human ashes. Francis' performance has been drawing a lot of buzz. Recently, she was awarded Special Jury Mention at the Overlook Film Festival for her performance. The jury said of it, "The effectiveness of body horror films and supernatural thrillers like Saccharine hinge on the lead, and here Midori Francis brings an unraveling yet grounded mania and warmth to the material."
Saccharine will have a limited theatrical release on May 22 before it streams on Shudder at a later date. Here's the trailer.
Leviticus (Directed by Adrian Chiarella)
Leviticus already played the Sundance Film Festival, and shortly after, it was scooped up by NEON, which just released the trailer a few days ago. The movie is a queer coming-of-age tale that follows two teenage boys, Niam (Joe Bird) and Ryan (Stacy Clausen). While investigating a religious community in Australia, they're haunted by a violent entity. Here's the catch: the entity takes the form of their desire, which is each other.
Leviticus releases in theaters on June 19. Check out the trailer.

Evil Dead Burn (Directed by Sébastien Vanicek)
Evil Dead Burn is definitely one of the most anticipated horror movies of the year. The sequel follows a grieving woman seeking solace at the home of her in-laws following her husband's death. Her family is then transformed into Deadties, and well, we can guess what happens next- lots of gore, for sure. The movie stars Luciane Buchanan, Hunter Doohan, Souhelia Yacoub, and Tandi Wright. The teaser trailer initially premiered before Lee Cronin's The Mummy, but it's now available online. Check it out.
Evil Dead Burn hits theaters July 10.
