Tubi is every horror lover’s favorite free streaming platform, right?? Tubi has a huge library of every type of film imaginable, and horror does not get the short shrift. Each new month brings new offerings, both original and well known, so take a seat at the Horror Lounge to see the horror and thrillers coming to Tubi in February.

Unless otherwise noted, all selections will be available on Tubi as of February 1.

ORIGINALS:

The Bachelorette (February 6) – “A bachelorette getaway turns deadly when persistent tensions ignite chilling threats.

Unrequited (February 20) – “A hotel maid with a shadowed past falls for her handsome but taken coworker, unwittingly stepping into a dangerous game of desire and betrayal.”

FAVORITES:

Anaconda – A filmmaker (Jennifer Lopez) treks the Amazon in search of an elusive tribe when she and her crew encounter a man (Jon Voight) trapped on the bank of a river. When he offers to lead them to the tribe, they eagerly take him up on it, but soon discover he is only trying to find a particular anaconda.

Climax – A group of dancers rehearsing at an old abandoned school decide to party after their final practice session. Unfortunately, the sangria they drink is laced with LSD, and each of the dancers begin to suffer psychotic breaks.

Dark Harvest (2023) – In this much better than average film, a small town annually holds a Halloween Run, during which teenage boys have to hunt down a deadly creature called Sawtooth Jack. Their mission is to kill Sawtooth Jack before midnight.

Escape Room (2019) – Six people agree to compete in an escape room challenge in order to win $10,000. But they soon discover that it’s not all fun and games, as the rooms are truly life or death challenges.

The Fly – This 1986 Cronenberg film stars Jeff Goldblum as scientist Seth Brundle, who is working on a teleportation machine. When he makes the bad decision to test it out on himself, he suffers the consequences due to a small fly sneaking into the device with him.

Green Room – I can’t recommend this one highly enough! A punk rock band is imprisoned in a very secluded club after witnessing a murder committed by neo-Nazi skinheads. Powered by a stellar cast including Anton Yelchian, Alia Shawcat, Patrick Stewart, and Imogen Poots, this is a tense film, guaranteed to have you at the edge of your seat.

The Hills Have Eyes (2006) – This is the pretty darned good remake of the 1977 Wes Craven film. Directed by Alexandre Aja, the tale of a family stuck in the desert after their vehicle crashes dips into deep horror country pretty quickly. It seems there is an inbred batshit crazy family that likes to eat people out there.

In Fabric – “A lonely divorcee visits a bewitching London department store to find a dress to transform her life. She soon finds a perfect, artery-red gown that unleashes a malevolent, unstoppable curse.”

Insidious: The Last Key – This prequel takes us to Elise’s past, when she gets a phone call from someone stating that his house (which Elise grew up in) may be haunted. She agrees to help because she knows she accidently set a demon free there in her younger years.

Secret Window – In this Stephen King adaptation, Johnny Depp is writer Mort Rainey, who moves to a remote cabin to recover from his divorce. Things get scary when farmer John Shooter (John Turturro) shows up, claiming that Rainey has been plagiarizing his work.

Slayers – Elliott Jones has been dedicated to killing vampires ever since his daughter was murdered by a particular group of them. When he finally tracks them down, he needs the help of some social media stars, who have been invited to a top-secret compound for the vamps.

Tusk – “A U.S. podcaster (Justin Long) ventures into the Canadian wilderness to interview an old man (Michael Parks) who has an extraordinary past, and the American learns the man has a dark secret involving a walrus.”

When A Stranger Calls – It’s not clear from Tubi’s press release whether this is the 1979 original, or its 2006 remake. Either way, it’s the iconic story of a babysitter who begins receiving creepy phone calls imploring her to check the children.
