When it comes to horror movies, Tubi isn't holding back during Halloween season. Their October line-up is absolutely stacked with genre classics and exclusives, some of which are part of the Terror on Tubi category, which showcases horror year-round. The schedule contains plenty to keep horror hounds happy in October, so let's dig in and look at the schedule.
Tubi's October additions include plenty of originals, such as R.L. Stine's Pumpkinhead 2 and Bite Sized Terrors
Increasingly, Tubi has been adding original and exclusive movies, and this upcoming month is no different. Here are some of the highlights.
Buzzkill (available September 25) Directed by Jem Garrard and written by Suzanne Kelly, Buzzkill is a horror-comedy that follows a group of sorority sisters. They end up trapped with a murderer. Meanwhile, Nora (Siene Agudong) holds memories and clues regarding the killer, but the only problem is that she can only recall them when drunk. This sounds like a fun one for slasher fans.
R.L. Stine's Pumpkinhead 2 (available October 9) This is another movie directed by Garrad, and he co-wrote the script with well-known YA horror author R.L. Stine. In this sequel, a new Pumpkinhead curse begins in Redhaven, and Sam (Bean Reid) and Becka (Adeline Lo) must act to stop it. What's notable about the sequel is that the Mistress of the Dark herself, Cassandera Peterson, best-known as Elvira, co-stars in the film as the witchy Cassandra.
Bite Sized Terror Shorts (available October 2) Bite Sized Terror Shorts are ten short horror films that explore all aspects of the genre, form body horror to the supernatural, to dark comedy and monsters. According to the description, the series brings a fresh take on the short-form horror format to Tubi, which was previously explored in Hulu's Bite Size Halloween. This series is notable because some of the directors could be the next big names in horror.
