Deadites come to Halloween Horror Nights with addition of Evil Dead Burn house

Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood just made another house announcement for Halloween Horror Nights, and it’s a doozy. Both locations will feature the new Evil Dead film as a themed house. That’s right, Evil Dead Burn – which only opened in theatres 11 days ago – is getting its own Halloween Horror Nights treatment.

Evil Dead is one of the longest-running horror franchises, with the first extremely low-budget film debuting in 1981. Evil Dead II followed in 1987, and Army of Darkness premiered in 1992. After that, the franchise took an extended break before returning as a reboot in 2013.

Evil Dead Rise hit theatres in 2023…which brings us to the most recent film, Evil Dead Burn. The new sequel introduced us to the Price family, who it turns out had a connection to the Necronomicon. When the family gathers for the funeral of Will, tensions arise due to the presence of his French wife Alice.

As the night goes on, those darned Deadites make their appearance known, and the family members begin to drop like flies until only Alice remains. Evil Dead Burn is filled with the gooey, spectacular special effects that we have come to expect from the Evil Dead universe, and it’s likely that the haunted houses will be sufficiently gory as well.

As stated in the press release, “the haunted houses will take guests on a terrifying firsthand journey through the film’s most frightening moments that begin at the Price family’s secluded vacation home in the woods. The nightmare grows more and more fierce as guests venture through the haunted house, encountering ferocious Deadites around every turn before succumbing to the evil forces themselves.”

If you survive the Evil Dead Burn house, be sure to reward yourself by purchasing some of the limited release merchandise that honors the “unstoppable terror” of Evil Dead Burn. The merchandise collection consists of a themed t-shirt and hat, as well as the acrylic piece that can be added to the already-announced Infernal Carnival collectible display. Merch will be available at both Universal locations as of July 21, or you can purchase online on July 22.

Halloween Horror Nights is a cherished spooky season tradition, with premium haunted house experiences, Scare Zones, themed food and beverage selections, and special merchandise. For 2026, the event begins August 28 in Orlando, and September 3 in Hollywood, with both running select nights through November 1.
